To buy or not to buy – this handy calculator from AARP “illustrates how a little lunch savings can go a long way”. Think of this as you food shop during the weekend. Calculate the cost of bread, coldcuts, soups, drinks, etc. for the month and factor them into the calculator. Chop Chop – Save Save! Yearly, everyone should see if there are areas in which monthly expenses can be cut or reduced – and sooner if you’re saving for a goal or trying to chop down debt. Always make sure the price paid is a fair one for whatever you’re purchasing.

Credit card ‘rewards’ aren’t ‘rewarding’ if you’re paying finance charges every month. You’re paying for those ‘rewards’ in interest.

The National Do Not Call Registry gives people the opportunity to limit telemarketing calls received. Home and cell phone numbers can be registered. Telemarketers covered by the National Do Not Call Registry have up to 31 days from the date phone numbers were registered to stop calling you.   https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx

A penny saved is a penny earned. Let’s demonstrate the power of saving – $20 saved per month is $240 earned per year, $40 saved per month is $480 earned per year, and so forth.
